“Experience” is the elusive requirement for many individuals looking to work in the video games industry. Testing, as we have previously explored, “is still, irrefutably, a way to break into the industry, with obvious progressions being design and production." Testology is looking to offer all “wannabe” testers the chance to break into QA, as a games tester, by running an extensive QA training course. For the past 17 years Andy Robson and his team have been training testers that we have hired through our interview process to the very highest industry standards. We are now offering a 4 week course to those who want to learn all areas of testing in an active QA environment where participants will learn the key elements of testing next to operating testing teams. Our course ensures that participants are learning, not only theoretically, but practically within a dynamic testing workplace.
We have a very experienced tutor to teach you the fundamental skills that you will require as a games tester. You will be taught through a structured syllabus that aims to develop the following, essential, testing skills:
· Structured and unstructured “bug hunting”
· Bug reporting and management
· The basic functioning and management of multiple databases
· Test-plan creation/completion
· Daily reports and client communication
· Extensive understanding of all QA technical tools
· Development of interpersonal skills required in team environments
The course will run for 4 weeks at Testology's office in Aldershot. The hours will be 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
If you are interested in participating in the course then please contact Andy Robson at arobson@testology.co.uk for further details.
